I can understand why some people can still like this entire series; there are plenty of things I love that everyone else criticizes, and I can’t even clearly explain to them what it is that I still love so much.
It’s just that for me, personally, the core things that made Silent Hill unique and appealing haven’t been in it since roughly the fourth game…
This is really my problem with the “horror” genre in general lately, they skip the really anxious feelings of SOMETHING being horribly wrong and go right to HERP DERP JUMP SCARES or WAY TOO LONG SCENE OF WOMAN GETTING TORTURED
Call of Duty: Ghosts has a dog, but Rise of the Triad has a power-up that turns you into a dog whose barks make people explode.

The God and King of Manga, Osamu Tezuka and Shotaro Ishinomori.
Fun fact, Ishinomori started out as Tezuka’s assistant, and his art style was pretty much a tribute to his mentor.

So a few of us GG nerds have noticed the trailer for Xrd doesn’t use tweening heavily in the 3d animation. Possibly not at all. So it’s a 3d game animated in static key frames to give the illusion of hand drawn animation which is awesome.
A lot of “we give a fuck” is being pumped into this game and its style.
Have to admit I had an “OH GOD NO” reaction when the unreal engine logo showed up
